Erica X CROW
Erica Kim aka ahistoryofarchitecture as her Instagram handle says, is a fashion enthusiast and an architecture professor from Toronto. As a blogger she continues to amaze us with her styling and consistency but more than that she does this out of fun, because she enjoys fashion. And her actual job remains being an architecture professor. And all the money that she makes as a blogger she donates it to a cause.
She came all the way from Toronto to India at our Studio and collaborated with us to design this new collection which will be out in the next ten days. Her energy was so captivating and inspiring, and her knowledge about the fashion world was immensely useful to us.
Her interests range from fashion, cities, spaces, books, paintings and small businesses. When talking to her, she said the most interesting thing, that slow fashion is determined by the connection and relationships shared between the people working to make the clothing. And here at World of Crow, we call ourselves sustainable because we share a good relationship between us and those who work for us as they make the clothes so we can’t second them.
This collection is made keeping in mind the longevity of the garment and the different ways it can be styled and paired with. The collection is very interesting and unique, it has both the flavors of our brand and of the person that Erica is. The collection is colorful, dresses like Pride of Crow (mini) and the Get Away dress come in sorbet green color and barbie pink color respectively. The main fabric used in most of the garments is Jamdani which has been made by our artisans in the villages of West Bengal. This fabric is extra soft and makes the garment breathable.
We hope this collection is loved by you all as much as we love it and we are very excited to share it with you all.
